At a press conference on Tuesday morning, Atishi disclosed the alleged intimidation, claiming that a close associate of hers acting on behalf of the BJP approached her with the ultimatum. She asserted, "I was asked to join the party and save my political career, or else I would be arrested by the ED in the coming month."

Atishi further expressed apprehension about potential arrests of more AAP leaders in the near future, citing the recent mention of her and AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj's names by the ED in court proceedings.
